Our Team
We have a great admiration for our advisors; Dr. Mark Robinson, Dr. Marcus Bright and Naseed Gifted. We’re also inspired by the former student athletes who handled the turbulent transition to adulthood well by contributing to a better future for others.
Our Movement
Follow Twice LLC. is a movement that is in direct response to the growing number of black student-athletes that have no serious career hopes post athletics; are falling through the cracks at school or are entangled negatively with the justice system. The goal of the movement is to identify black student-athletes who are going to have a turbulent transition to adulthood and offer a positive support system with advice from former black student-athletes who can assist them in avoiding the pitfalls that can derail their lives.
The focus is slightly different at each level, but the goal remains the same; empower the black student-athlete to make positive changes in his/her life.
Over time, Follow Twice LLC. will create an atmosphere of industry insight that will be an invaluable resource to black student-athletes, aspiring mentors and the collegiate athletic community at large.
Our Goal
Through repeated failures by the educational system and a lack of well-tailored personal development programs for black student-athletes, black student-athletes have lost faith in the possibilities; this leads to destructive habits & a sense of confusion that awaits them after attaining their degrees. Follow Twice aims to be the bridge for those athletes as they seek to merge their academic, athletic and networking prowess in one package.
To accomplish this goal, collegiate athletic programs, individuals and industry professionals must all meet in a caring, inclusive environment that promotes their best effort and reinforces career development and parallel planning.
